Sekyere East: Sack Liability DCE – Effiduase Omanhene

The effiduase traditional council has called on President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo to as matter of urgency call the Sekyere East District Chief Executive to order or remove Mad Mary Boatemaa Marfo from office because she is a liability.

The traditional council addresses the media at a press conference in Effiduase palace. The press conference was addressed by Nana Adu Ameyaw II(Chief of Effiduase) and Nana Konadu Yiadom( Effiduasehemaa).

Nana Adu Ameyaw II the Chief of Effiduase told the media about the purpose of the gathering “We’ve invited you all here because of some issues in Effiduase which has been a torn in our flesh and impeding the progress of the area. We have tried all means to settle it amicably but has proven futile. There is a impasse between our MP and the DCE, Nananom have done part of restoring peace but the DCE won’t allow peace to prevail. Also, we all know the importance of school feeding. The ghost school feeding schools created by our DCE has brought Disgrace unto us and hardship unto our caterers. The caterers run to me on daily basis with complains of their huge debt as results of their debt not been paid due to the DCE ghost schools which the auditor general had interdicted her.”

Nana further added that “10(Ten) of our people have been given scholarship from MPs common fund to study, the MP has signed his portion of the Cheque and since September the DCE has refused to sign her portion of the cheque so the children are at home.

The DCE is generating tension between us and Asokore because from time immemorial the two traditional councils have lived in Peace and harmony. There is an arrangement where annual District Farmers Day are celebrated periodically on either Asokore Stool lands or on Effiduase Stool lands, on yearly basis but this DCE has held all two consecutively District farmers’ day in Asokore Stool lands as against the convention that has been in existence for years. And it has created serious animosity among the two towns which hitherto coexisted peacefully, what the DCE should be doing is to ensure the continues peaceful coexistence among the two town, however, she is the one through her actions and decisions making it look like the two towns are at each others throat or rivals or in competition with each other.”

The DCE also disrespected effiduaseman when she mounted a counter stage at the district assembly forecourt as against the one at the Effiduase Omanhene’s palace during the recent visit of the president to the constituency, the Nananom sees this as a clear insult and deliberate attempts to undermine the powers of effiduaseman and the Palace as a whole.

Recap: Some few weeks ago the Asokore Traditional Council also called on the President that they can’t work with the disrespectful DCE.
